Notes: Exhibition Dahlia. Bloomquist Blush is easy to love. It's in my top five every year. The color and stems are perfect for design work. It can be a hard to come by variety, but it is definitely worth waiting for. Vase life for this variety is heavily reliant upon what stage the flower is harvested. We found that if the flowers were harvested in the morning, when the bloom was about half open, the vase life would be 6 days on average. If harvested when the petals were fully open (see third photo) the vase life was reduced to 4 days on average. Bloomquist Blush is a prolific bloomer and tuber producer. Tuber clumps are easy to divide with great eyes.

Note on Pricing: We value dahlia hybridizers and do our best not to undercut them in pricing. For that reason, the price listed for this variety is based off of the price set by the hybridizer or their designee for dahlia sales.

Dahlia care: Wait until all danger of frost is past before planting. Dahlias should not be planted outdoors until ground temperature reaches 55-60 degrees. Hold off planting if the forecast is predicting rain. Overwatering newly planted tubers may lead to rot.

Dahlias thrive in rich, well-drained soil. Use slug and snail bait at planting, don't wait until the sprout appears.

Dahlias should be planted in full sun in a location that receives a minimum of 6-8 hours of sun.

Most dahlias grow quite tall and require support, similar to tomato plants.

Most importantly, I hope these tubers grow into beautiful plants that bring you joy for years to come. Thank you for supporting my small business!
