Note: This variety is not yet in the 2024 classification book, however, we did have it classified at a dahlia show as 3111 in 2024. Bloomquist Pleasing can get quite tall and has incredibly long stems. For this variety, I recommend pinching back multiple times in the spring and making deep cuts when harvesting flowers. This will stimulate lateral growth which helps support the height of the plant in fall stormy months.
Note on Pricing: We value dahlia hybridizers and do our best not to undercut them in pricing. For that reason, the price listed for this variety is based off of the price set by the hybridizer or their designee for dahlia sales.
This listing is for one (1) dahlia tuber. All tubers will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail beginning in April, weather permitting.
Dahlia Care: Wait until all danger of frost is past before planting. Dahlias should not be planted outdoors until ground temperature reaches 55-60 degrees. Hold off planting if the forecast is predicting rain. Overwatering newly planted tubers may lead to rot.
Dahlias thrive in rich, well-drained soil. Use slug and snail bait at planting, don't wait until the sprout appears.
Dahlias should be planted in full sun in a location that receives a minimum of 6-8 hours of sun.
Most dahlias grow quite tall and require support, similar to tomato plants.
Most importantly, I hope these tubers grow into beautiful plants that bring you joy for years to come. Thank you for supporting my small business!
