Notes: Thanks to research done by Amanda at DahliaAddict.com and her readers, we have learned that this popular variety sold in the US was actually a mislabel. The original Bracken Rose was hybridized in Australia over 20 years ago and has slightly different characteristics. Bracken Rose is one of the most beautiful dahlias, but her tubers are some of my least favorite to divide. The necks tend to be fragile and thin with bulbus bodies. The clumps are often little jigsaw puzzles that take more time to divide than other varieties. I have found that Bracken Rose also takes longer to "wake up." We pull this variety out of storage earlier than other varieties so when it gets to you, it's ready to go along with your other tubers.

This listing is for one (1) dahlia tuber. All tubers will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail beginning in April, weather permitting.

Dahlia Care: Wait until all danger of frost is past before planting. Dahlias should not be planted outdoors until ground temperature reaches 55-60 degrees. Hold off planting if the forecast is predicting rain. Overwatering newly planted tubers may lead to rot.

Dahlias thrive in rich, well-drained soil. Use slug and snail bait at planting, don't wait until the sprout appears.

Dahlias should be planted in full sun in a location that receives a minimum of 6-8 hours of sun.

Most dahlias grow quite tall and require support, similar to tomato plants.

Most importantly, I hope these tubers grow into beautiful plants that bring you joy for years to come. Thank you for supporting my small business!
